While we can’t concede to always agreeing with Maine’s Susan Collins since arriving in the U.S. Senate in 1997, she has earned our admiration and respect.


With approval ratings sometimes hitting 65 percent, it would appear Maine voters feel the same way. 

In a day and age when politics cry out for bipartisanship and problem-solving, Collins has been a role model in forming alliances and getting things done for Maine — from saving jobs at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard to Bath Iron Works and helping those in the far reaches of Maine.
