The media in Maine strives to reflect the attitudes of the people of this state. The best way to make sure they know how Maine people feel about issues is to contact them directly. Let them know that you support Senator Collins and her positions on the issues that matter to you!

Tips for writing letters to the editor:

  • Keep it brief. Newspapers have limited space, so check with them to see what their character limit is.
  • Focus on one topic. Trying to cover a variety of subjects can be difficult in a limited space. It's better to pick one issue and describe it with more detail.
  • Include your contact information. Most newspapers require your name, town, and phone number before they will print your letter.
