Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel Endorse Senator Susan Collins

KENNEBEC JOURNAL/MORNING SENTINEL ENDORSE
SUSAN COLLINS FOR REELECTION

"Collins is one of the two least partisan members of the Senate"
PORTLAND, Maine - Today, the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel newspapers endorsed Senator Susan Collins's reelection bid for a third term in the United States Senate. In its endorsement, the Kennebec Journal/Morning Sentinel wrote that "the job of a senator is to represent the entire state, and Collins' largely centrist stance and ability to reach across party boundaries equips her better to represent the whole of Maine."

In addition, the newspaper wrote that "Sen. Susan Collins will simply be able to do more for Maine than a newly elected Tom Allen, a member of the Democratic majority."

Senator Collins has now received the endorsement of the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram, the Portsmouth Herald, the Ellsworth American, and the Kennebec Journal/Morning Sentinel.

To date, Senator Collins has also received endorsements from several groups including the Veterans of Foreign Wars-PAC, the National Federation of Independent Business, the League of Conservation Voters, the Professional Firefighters of Maine, the Maine Fire Chiefs Association, the Maine Troopers Association, the Maine Association of Police, the Maine Ambulance Association, the Human Rights Campaign, and the Business and Professional Women PAC.
