These are troubling times for Maine and our country, but everywhere you look, there are heroes serving on the frontlines of the fight against coronavirus.
They are the people who are leaving the safety of their own homes and families to ensure that the rest of us have what we need to make it through this pandemic safely.
In a new ad, that will appear online and on television statewide, Senator Susan Collins expresses her gratitude for the real heroes all around us – the doctors, nurses, pharmacists, first responders, law enforcement, truck drivers, grocery clerks, and restaurant workers who have changed the way they operate to help feed and protect us.
“These are challenging times, but Maine has never been stronger,” said Senator Collins. “They are the glue that holds us together… and we thank them.”
Earlier this month, the Collins for Senator campaign announced that it was temporarily pausing traditional campaign ads as a result of the coronavirus crisis, and they have been replaced with informational spots such as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8eHkiTHQXk
In Washington, Senator Collins has been leading the effort to assist small businesses and their employees receive the economic assistance they will need to make it through unprecedented challenges and eventually recover from the fallout of this pandemic.
